Splinge Platform — User Documentation

Version: July 2026

1. Getting Started

Splinge is a platform for musicians, bands, venues, promoters, sellers, and their audiences. It's made up of many small apps, each on its own address, that all share one account.

If you are…

You will use…

A musician or band

Musician Profile + Band Manager + Connect

A promoter or venue

Box Office Manager + Venue Manager

A seller (records, merch, tickets)

Seller Hub + Record Store Manager / Box Office Manager + Stripe

A CMS site owner

The CMS to manage a website

A fan / buyer

Connect, Box Office, Record Store, Player

A door-staff member

The TicketReader mobile app

All areas share a single account — log in once and the same account works everywhere.

2. Your Account

Account creation and sign-in for every Splinge app happens centrally at login.splinge.com. You'll only see this page when an app needs you to sign in — it redirects you back to wherever you started once you're done.

2.1 Creating an Account

1. From any app, click Create account (or go to https://login.splinge.com/register)

2. Fill in Name, Email, Password, Confirm Password

3. Check the boxes to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (click each to read the full text)

4. Click Create Account

5. You'll immediately be asked to choose a nametag (see 2.3) — this is required before you can use any app

6. After saving your nametag, check your email for a confirmation link and click it to activate your account

2.2 Logging In

1. Go to https://login.splinge.com (or click Sign In in any app)

2. Enter your Email and Password

3. Click Sign In

4. You'll be redirected back to the app you came from

If you visit an app that requires sign-in and you aren't signed in yet, you're sent to the login page automatically and returned to where you were going afterward. Sessions last 8 hours.

2.3 Your Nametag

Your nametag is your unique @handle on Splinge. It identifies you on posts, comments, chat, and your profile.

- Every account must have one — you're prompted to set it the moment you register or first log in without one

- Can contain lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores

- Permanent — it cannot be changed once set, so choose carefully

2.4 Changing Your Password

The "Forgot password?" link on the sign-in page does not email you a reset link — you'll need to know your current password to use it.

1. Go to https://login.splinge.com/forgot-password

2. Enter your Email, Current Password, New Password, and Confirm New Password

3. Click Update Password

If you don't know your current password, [contact support](#141-contact-us) for help recovering your account.

2.5 Confirming Your Email

New accounts, and some role activations (Musician, Seller, Venue Manager, Band Manager), send a confirmation email with a link or code. Clicking the link takes you to a confirmation page that activates the account or role automatically. If a code expires or the email doesn't arrive, look for a Resend button on the relevant page.

3. Your Profile

Manage your personal details, change your password, and activate additional roles at https://profile.splinge.com.

3.1 Editing Your Details

Open the menu (top right) → My Profile.

Section

Fields

First name, Last name, Email, Date of birth

Address

Address line 1, Address line 2, City, State/Province, Postcode, Country

Contact

Country code, Phone number

Click your avatar (or the camera icon) to change your photo — it uploads immediately. Click Save profile to save changes. Your name and address must be complete before you can activate a Musician, Seller, Venue, or Band role.

3.2 Your Nametag

Menu → Nametag shows your current @handle. If you haven't set one yet (rare, since it's required at registration), you can check availability and set it here — remember, it's permanent.

3.3 Deleting Your Account

Menu → Delete Account (or https://profile.splinge.com/delete).

1. Enter your Email address

2. Click Send deletion confirmation email

3. Check your inbox and click the confirmation link to finalize the deletion

This is permanent and removes your profile, posts, comments, albums, connections, and access to every Splinge app.

3.4 Account Roles

A single account can activate several roles. Each is set up from its own page inside profile.splinge.com, requires your base profile to be complete first, and (except changing your password) sends a confirmation email before the role becomes active.

3. Check "I have read and accept the Terms of Musician Account"

4. Click Become a Musician

5. Check your email for the activation link and click it (or click Resend activation email if you don't see it)

Once activated, the full profile editor unlocks.

4.2 Profile, Bands & Discography

The editor has four tabs:

Bands & Acts — shows pending invitations from bands (Accept/Decline) and your current/former band memberships.

Discography — click Add release: Title, Type (Album/Single/EP/Compilation/Other), Year, Your role (e.g. "Vocalist, Producer"). Edit or delete any entry afterward.

Media — click Upload media to add images, video, or audio to a gallery on your profile. Remove any item with its delete icon.

5. Bands — Band Manager

https://band.splinge.com is where musicians create and manage band profiles.

5.1 Accessing Band Manager

You must have an activated Musician profile ([§4.1](#41-becoming-a-musician)) before Band Manager will let you in. If you arrive without one, you'll see a message directing you back to set up your Musician Profile first.

5.2 Creating or Claiming a Band

From the Bands list, toggle My Bands / All Bands to browse. Bands you don't yet own or manage show a status chip: Orphan (unclaimed), Has Manager, Owner, or Manager.

Creating a new band:

1. Click New Band

2. Choose your role: Owner, Manager, or Register only (no ownership claim)

3. If Owner or Manager, accept the Band Manager Agreement

4. Fill in Band Name, Start Date, Genre, Sub-genre

5. Click Create Band

Claiming an existing orphaned band: click Claim this band on its card, choose Owner or Manager, set a Bandtag @@handle — one-time, cannot be changed later), accept the agreement, and click Claim Band.

5.3 Band Profile Sections

Open a band to see five tabs (owners get edit access):

Tab

What you can do

Overview

Band image, name, bandtag, founded date, member/release counts

Discography

Add releases: title, release date, type, cover art

Gallery

Add photos, videos, or external links, each with a caption

Members

View current/former members; owners can Invite Musician (search by name, assign instruments) and manage pending invitations

Posts

Publish band updates (owners), visible as Public, Followers, or a custom audience List you define; fans can comment

5.4 Bulk Importing Bands

For importing many bands at once: Bulk Import in the sidebar → Download CSV template (columns: Name, Start Date, Preferred Bandtag, Image, Website Slug) → fill it in → Choose CSV file → review the preview → Import. Results show which bands were created, failed, or hit a bandtag conflict.

6. Social — Connect

https://connect.splinge.com is the social hub — feed, friends, bands, and photos.

6.1 Feed & Posts

Click the composer at the top of your feed to open New Post:

Field

Notes

Text

Up to 1000 characters

Visibility

Public, Friends, or Selected friends (pick specific people)

Media

Paste a URL (image/video/YouTube/Spotify/SoundCloud links all render inline) or click Upload file

Click Post. Owners can Edit or Delete their own posts afterward. Like a post with the heart icon, and comment (including threaded replies) via the comment icon.

Your feed mixes posts from friends, public posts, and official Splinge announcements. A "N new posts" pill appears when fresh content has arrived since you last checked.

6.2 Friends & Connections

Go to Friends.

- Find people: search by name or @nametag, then click Connect to send a request

- Pending tab: Accept or Decline incoming requests; cancel requests you've sent

- Friends tab: click a friend to view their profile and posts in a side panel; Remove to end the connection

6.3 Discovering & Following Bands

Go to Bands — search by name, @@bandtag, genre, or country, and click Follow on any band's card to see their posts in your feed. Click Following again to unfollow.

6.4 Photos & Albums

Go to Photos.

- Upload Photo quickly adds an image to an auto-created "Unsorted" album

- New Album to create a named album (name + optional description)

- Inside an album, Add Photos to upload more; click any photo to view it full-size, with an option to delete

6.5 Reporting & Blocking

Any post, comment, user, band, or photo can be reported (flag icon) for: Explicit material, Vulgar language, Child abuse, Harassment, Spam, or Misinformation. Blocking someone (available from their posts or your Friends list) immediately hides their posts, comments, and messages from you.

7. Chat

https://chat.splinge.com (and the Chat tab inside Connect) is Splinge's direct-messaging tool.

- Add connection: send a connection request by @nametag

- New conversation: pick one person for a direct message, or two or more for a group chat (with an optional group name)

- The conversation list shows unread counts, online status (green dot), and a live "typing…" indicator

- The message box supports text, file attachments (images, video, audio, PDF, documents), and pasted links, which render as inline previews (YouTube/Vimeo embed automatically)

Group conversations currently can't be renamed or have members added/removed after creation.

8. CMS — Managing Your Website

8.1 Overview

The CMS lets you build a complete public website — posts, pages, artist listings, events, and media — without any coding. Manage it at https://cms.splinge.com; your site is published at https://web.splinge.com/{your-site-slug}.

8.2 Navigating the CMS

The left sidebar: Dashboard, Posts, Pages, Users, Media, Artists, Events, Sites.

8.3 Sites

If you manage more than one website, use the site selector to switch — everything else in the CMS is scoped to the site you're currently working in.

Creating a new site: go to SitesNew Site, fill in the details, and save. A default Home page (slug home) is created automatically.

Pages are fixed content — About, Contact, Home, etc.

Creating a page:

1. PagesNew Page

2. Enter a title — the slug generates automatically (editable)

3. Write content in the editor

4. Set Status: Draft / Published / Archived

5. Save

The page with slug home is special — it's the first thing visitors see. If none exists, visitors see "Coming soon."

Additional page options: "Show title on page" toggle, Featured Image, Hero Banner (full-width image behind the title), Page Background (image, with size/position/scroll options), Template name, display Order, SEO fields (Meta Title, Meta Description, OG Image), a per-page Google Analytics override, and per-page Custom CSS.

8.8 Media Library

Upload images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG), video (MP4, WebM, MOV, AVI, MKV), PDFs, and audio (MP3, WAV). Anywhere you see a Browse button, you can pick an already-uploaded file instead of uploading a new one. Each file can have an editable Alt Text and Caption.

8.9 Users

Manage who can edit this site: UsersNew User → name, email, a password, and a role (**Admin**, Editor, or Author).

8.10 Your Public Website

Every site is live at https://web.splinge.com/{your-site-slug} as soon as it's active and its Home page is published.

- Top bar: your logo/site name plus your configured Navigation Menu

- Posts / Events / Artists: each is its own page (not a sidebar), with a search box; Events also has an Upcoming/Ongoing/Past filter

- Mobile: navigation is accessed via the menu icon and slides out from the right

- Footer: "Powered by Splinge™" plus your footer text

- If you've set a Google Analytics ID, visitors see a cookie-consent banner (Accept all / Decline all / Manage preferences) before analytics are recorded

9. Box Office — Events & Tickets

9.1 Browsing & Buying Tickets

Visit https://boxoffice.splinge.com.

1. Browse the homepage or Browse All Events — filter by your location (auto-detected or entered manually), search text, and category

2. Open an event to see full details. If the venue has a seating chart, click sections to select seats (green = selected) or use the quantity steppers for general-admission ticket types

3. Adding tickets starts a reservation with a countdown timer (shown in a sticky bar) — your seats are held only until it expires

4. Click Buy Tickets, sign in if prompted, and complete checkout in three steps:

- Your Details — name, email, phone; check "This order contains gifts" to send specific tickets to someone else's @nametag or email

- Payment — enter your card details (skipped automatically for free events)

- Review Order — confirm and pay

5. Your confirmation screen shows a QR-coded ticket for each item — Print/Download, or find them later in My Tickets

A small Splinge fee is added per ticket, shown separately from the ticket price.

9.2 Managing Your Tickets

Sign in and go to My Tickets to see everything you've bought, plus any tickets gifted to you by someone else. Each ticket shows a scannable QR code for entry.

9.3 Selling — Box Office Manager

https://bom.splinge.com is the promoter back office. You need an approved seller account with Stripe connected first ([§11](#11-becoming-a-seller--getting-paid)) — otherwise you're redirected there automatically.

Dashboard: total orders, revenue, and average order value, plus recent orders.

Pricing your seats: if your venue has a seating chart, click Open/Edit Venue Map Pricing to click each section and assign a price or pricing tier.

Ticket types: add rows for each type you're selling — Name, Description, Price, Quantity. You can mix seated sections and flat-rate ticket types on the same event.

Click Save Event, then set the status to Published when ready to sell. Cancelling a published event automatically refunds and emails every ticket holder.

Door Staff: invite people (search by name@nametag) to use the TicketReader app to check attendees in at this event.

Door List: add guests who get a free ticket emailed to them without going through checkout — search existing users or enter a name/email manually, and assign a seat if the venue is seated.

Orders: a searchable, filterable read-only list of every order for your events.

Artists: a read-only view of the shared Band Registry — manage band details themselves in Band Manager band.splinge.com).

9.4 Venues

https://venue.splinge.com is where venues are created and their seating charts built.

Getting access: the first time you visit, you'll apply for Venue Manager access — agree to the Venue Manager Agreement, then confirm the code emailed to you.

Managing venues:

- New Venue: name, address, city, country, postcode, capacity, phone, email, description, images. When creating one you're registering, choose whether you're the Owner, the Manager, or just registering it unclaimed.

- Claim an existing unclaimed (or half-claimed) venue if you're the rightful owner/manager, accepting the Venue Agreement.

- Edit seating chart (owner/manager only) opens the full seat-map editor: draw sections and a stage, add seat rows or individual seats, label and colour sections, and set section shapes (rectangle, ellipse, curved, diamond, hexagon). Save, or export/import as a file.

9.5 Door Staff & Check-In

TicketReader is a mobile-only app (not a website) for staff checking people in at the door. After signing in, staff pick an event they've been invited to and tap Start Scanning once doors are open — pointing the camera at a ticket's QR code checks it in instantly, with a clear warning if a ticket has already been used or isn't valid.

10. Record Store & Music

10.1 Browsing & Buying

https://recordstore.splinge.com uses a swipe-through browsing style, one release at a time:

- Swipe/drag up or down (or use the arrows) to browse

- Swipe right to open your Cart

- Swipe left to see full Album Info — description, track list with previews, and (for merchandise) size/colour options

- Use the filter icon to narrow by type (Digital / Physical / Merch), seller, band, genre, or sub-genre

- to like, 🛒 to add to cart, 📤 to forward an album to a connection or by email, 📬 to see albums others have sent you

Checkout: choose gift recipients per item if buying for someone else, enter a delivery address for physical items, then pay with your card. Free digital items skip payment entirely. You'll see a confirmation and get an email receipt.

10.2 Selling — Record Store Manager

https://rsm.splinge.com (also available as a desktop app) is where sellers manage their catalog. Requires an approved seller account with Stripe connected.

Dashboard: sales over a chosen period, plus counts of your bands, digital listings, and physical listings.

Creating a listing (**Listings** → New Listing), a step-by-step wizard whose steps depend on the type you're adding:

Type

Steps

Digital

General Info → Audio File → Track List → Personnel → Cover Art → Pricing Rules

Physical A/V

General Info → Track List → Personnel → Cover Art → Inventory → Pricing Rules

Merch

General Info → Images → Options → Inventory → Pricing Rules

- General Info: Title, Band, Currency, Price, Release Date, and (physical/merch) shipping settings

- Audio File (digital): upload WAV, FLAC, or MP3 — non-FLAC files are automatically converted; a FLAC with an embedded cue sheet auto-splits into individual tracks

- Track List: title, duration, and preview length (30s / 1 min / full) per track; you can build a combined master FLAC + cue sheet from multiple uploaded files

- Personnel: credit contributors by name, role (Producer, Mixing Engineer, etc.), and notes

- Cover Art / Images: primary image plus a gallery of additional photos

- Options (merch): variant choices like Size or Colour

- Inventory: turn on stock tracking and choose what happens when you sell out (show as sold out, or hide the listing)

- Pricing Rules: discount prices until a date, until N sales, for your followers, or for specific @nametags

Inventory page: view and adjust stock levels, with a history of every adjustment.

Bulk Loader: import many digital listings at once from a folder of audio/art files plus a CSV (columns: title, band, currency, price, releasedate, audio, coverart). Bulk-loaded listings are created active but with no track list — finish them individually afterward.

ShipStation: connect your ShipStation API key/secret to automate shipping labels and tracking updates; a webhook URL is provided to paste into your ShipStation account settings.

Bands: claim or view your bands, with a link out to Band Manager for full editing.

10.3 Listening — Player

https://player.splinge.com plays back anything you've bought or been gifted.

- Library: every purchased/gifted album, with tracks expandable underneath

- Playlists: create, rename, and delete playlists; add tracks or whole albums via the + button or multi-select mode

- Playback controls: shuffle, previous/next, ±15 seconds, play/pause, seek bar, volume

- EQ: a 5-band equalizer with Global, Album, and Track-level settings (saved to this device only — it won't follow you to another device or browser)

10.4 Digital Downloads

Purchase confirmation emails include a link like download.splinge.com/{token}. Opening it shows the item and a Download button — sign in (or create a free account) first if you aren't already. Links can expire or be invalid; the page will tell you which.

11. Becoming a Seller & Getting Paid

11.1 Applying to Sell

Start at https://seller.splinge.com.

1. Click Create a Seller Account, agree to the Splinge Seller Terms of Service, and submit

2. Check your email and click the confirmation link (or use Resend email / I've confirmed — refresh)

3. You're now a confirmed seller — next, connect payments

11.2 Connecting Stripe

Every seller needs a connected Stripe account before they can receive payments or use the seller manager apps.

1. From the Seller Hub, click Set up payments with Stripe

2. Choose your Country, agree to the Seller Terms, and continue — a confirmation code is emailed to you

3. Enter the code to continue to Stripe's own onboarding, where you provide your business/bank details

4. You're returned to the Seller Hub once Stripe has your details; verification can take a little time

Once approved, use Open Dashboard (from Record Store Manager's Stripe page, or Box Office Manager's Stripe link) any time to view your balance, payouts, and transaction history — this opens Stripe's own hosted dashboard.

11.3 Your Seller Profile & Store Website

From the Seller Hub, the My Seller Profile tab lets you set your seller type (Band/Artist, Manager, Label, Venue, Promoter/Touring Co., or Retail Seller), business details, and contact info.

The Apps tab launches your seller tools — Box Office Manager and Record Store Manager — with your session carried across automatically.

You can also provision a Store Website (a CMS site at web.splinge.com/store/{your-nametag}) directly from your seller profile.

12. Contracts & E-Signatures

12.1 Contracts

https://contract.splinge.com lets you draft, send, and e-sign music-industry contracts and MOUs.

Getting access: your account must already have one of the Musician, Seller, Venue, Manager, or Promoter roles set up. The first time you visit, agree to the Splinge Contracts Terms of Service and confirm the code emailed to you.

Starting a document:

- Upload Contract — drag in an existing PDF

- Generate with AI — describe the deal (document type, parties, terms) and the assistant drafts a contract or MOU for you, asking clarifying questions if needed. Generated documents are saved to your Document Library as reusable templates — click Use on a template to start a real, signable document from it

Setting up signing:

1. Open your document and use the Name / Initial / Sign / Date toolbar to place your own fields by clicking on the PDF

2. Click Participants to add anyone else who needs to sign (name + email)

3. Switch to Place Marker mode, pick a participant and field type, and click the PDF to add their fields — each participant's markers are colour-coded

4. Optionally click Review with AI to have flagged clauses highlighted with notes

5. Click Complete My Fields (or Publish Document if there are no other participants), then Send Invitations

You'll see a status chip (Draft / In Progress / Completed) and a "waiting on other parties" indicator until everyone has signed.

12.2 Your Signature

https://sign.splinge.com — draw a signature with your mouse or finger, name it, and click Save Signature. Saved signatures appear as a picker whenever you place a Sign field on a contract you own.

12.3 Signing as a Recipient

If someone sends you a contract to sign, you'll get an emailed link — no Splinge account is required. Open it and you'll be guided field-by-field: fill in your name/initials, dates fill in automatically, and you can add a signature. Once every field is complete, the sender is notified and a copy is emailed to everyone once the whole document is fully executed.

13. Marketplace

https://marketplace.splinge.com is a peer-to-peer marketplace for browsing, listing, and messaging about items — it's still in development and not yet publicly available. The description below covers how it will work once launched.

- Browse and search listings by category, condition, and price

- Message a seller directly from a listing

- Sell an item: title, brand, category, description, price, location, condition, up to 4 photos, up to 4 hashtags

- Manage your listings from My Listings, including marking an item sold

- Promote a listing — Feature (14 days at the top of results), Boost (7 days above regular results), or buy extra photo/hashtag slots. Promotion purchases don't yet collect real payment while the feature is in preview.

14. Support

14.1 Contact Us

https://contact.splinge.com — fill in Name, Email, Subject, Message, and click Send message.

14.2 Help Articles

https://help.splinge.com — search by title or keyword, or browse the article list. If you opened Help from inside another app, the back arrow returns you there.

15. Known Limitations

- "Forgot password" on the login page requires your current password — it isn't an email-reset flow. If you truly can't remember your password, [contact support](#141-contact-us).

- Marketplace ([§13](#13-marketplace)) is not yet live at its public address, and listing promotions there don't yet charge a real payment.

- Contract signing without an account ([§12.3](#123-signing-as-a-recipient)): if you're asked to add a signature and none is available to select, contact whoever sent you the contract or [reach out to support](#141-contact-us) rather than assuming the link is broken.

- Player's equalizer settings ([§10.3](#103-listening--player)) are saved to the device/browser you're using, not to your account — they won't follow you to another device.

- Group conversations in Chat ([§7](#7-chat)) can't be renamed or have members added/removed once created.

16. Tips & Troubleshooting

### I am being asked to log in but I am already logged in

Your session may have expired (sessions last 8 hours). Log in again — you'll be returned to where you were.

### My website shows "Coming soon"

Your site doesn't have a published page with the slug home. In the CMS, go to Pages, create one (or edit the existing one), set the slug to home, set its status to Published, and save.

### My site's top bar has no navigation links

The top bar is driven entirely by the Navigation Menu you configure in Sites → your site's settings. If it's empty, no links show — add items there.

### My event is not showing in Box Office

Events must have their status set to Published in Box Office Manager. Draft events aren't visible to the public.

### I cannot upload a file

- In the CMS Media Library: check the format is supported (images: JPG/PNG/GIF/WebP/SVG; video: MP4/WebM/MOV/AVI/MKV; also PDF and MP3/WAV)

- Try refreshing and uploading again

- Large audio/video files may take a moment to process

### My cart in Box Office/Record Store emptied itself

Ticket and item reservations are time-limited (Box Office shows a live countdown) and are released automatically after a period of inactivity so other buyers aren't blocked from those seats/items.

### Band Manager won't let me in

You need an activated Musician profile first — set one up at profile.splinge.com/musician, wait for the activation email, then return to band.splinge.com.

### Box Office Manager / Record Store Manager redirected me to the Seller Hub
