Our Story
Splinge™ was created to help musicians monetize their art the way they see fit.
Working with an international Board of Advisers, we tailored our initial offerings at independent bands through the sale of their recorded material in The Record Store. We leave it to the musicians to decide what they want to sell.

Why Splinge?
Hi, I'm Lindsay Astin, CEO and founder of Splinge.
The name goes back to my childhood in Adelaide, South Australia. My father called me "Splinge" — a nonsense word that traces back to The Goon Show, the anarchic British radio comedy that shaped a generation's sense of humor. It wasn't a real word, just a sound that stuck — and it became mine.
Growing up, I played in bands around Adelaide. I knew what it felt like to want to be heard — to put in the work and wait for an audience that was slow to arrive. At 24, I moved into computers. By 27, I was lecturing in software and systems.
For a long time, those felt like two separate lives: the musician and the engineer. Splinge is what happens when they come together. It's not a platform designed by outsiders guessing at what artists need — it's built by someone who's stood on both sides of it: the stage and the system.
That's the story behind the name, and the reason this platform exists.
